President Biden signed the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARP) into law on March 11. The ARP improves access to affordable health coverage through the Marketplace by increasing eligibility for financial assistance to help pay for Marketplace health coverage. The new law also expands access to financial assistance for more consumers. The expanded financial assistance eligibility is expected to go live on enrollment systems April 1.
